Phyllis is actively using the internet, both for promotion of products which she has listed for sale, and as well as for communication and information and education. The Internet has proven to be a very valuable tool. Phyllis also is available by cellular phone, both with an 1 - 888 number and local number, iPhone, e-maill, text messaging & iMessage . These tools are the backbone of our industry. The use of scanners with email has made it easier to deal with clients world-wide & now with electronic signatures & the cloud, selling & buying has never been easier. Phyllis Stelting is elected as a Director for her Division . .
Elected in 1998, for a two year term, Phyllis has been a director of the Burnaby, New West and Tri-Cities Division. In 1998 Phyllis served a co-chairperson on the Education Committee. Phyllis' mandate here is to provide local educational seminars for the realtors in her division which will save them time by not having to attend these courses at the Real Estate Board which is located in Vancouver.
During 1999, Phyllis has undertaken to be the Secretary/Treasurer for the Division, along with helping other committies successfully organize and orchestrate their projects. She will also be continuing her role as Secretary/Treasurer for the Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri-Cities Division throughout the year 2000 term. Although no longer a director, in the year 2001 Phyllis has volunteered to sit on a committee to review the secondary suite issue in Port Moody. The committee will review this issues faced with secondary suites and present their findings in a proposal to the City Council for approval towards the year's end.
Phyllis was also a member of the Board's Municipal Task Force, which deals with issues within each community. Although no longer a director, Phyllis continued on with the organization of the annual Burnaby, New Westminster, Tri-Cities Division Charity Golf Tournament. up to and including the 7th Annual event in 2004. Each year this division of realtors raise funds via a golf tournament and donate the proceeds to a local charity. This will be the 7th annual and Phyllis is delighted to again be heading the organizational team. There was over $10,000 raised for local area charities during this time.
